Suicide Silence is a five-piece deathcore band from Riverside, California.

Suicide Silence was formed in 2000. The band signed to Century Media Records and finished recording their first full-length album entitled The Cleansing which was released on September 18, 2007. The album was recorded with producer John Travis (Static-X), while Tue Madsen (Himsa, The Haunted) handled mixing duties. The album debuted at number 94 on the Billboard 200Discography - Suicide Silence. The Cleansing. Retrieved on September 28, 2007., selling 7,250 copies the first week, and became the highest selling artist debut in Century Media history.[citation needed]

Suicide Silence toured in Fall 2007 with Unearth, Darkest Hour, and August Burns Red.
In October/November 2007, they headlined Dawn of Destruction Tour with A Life Once Lost, Walls of Jericho, and The Agony Scene.
In December/January 2007-2008, they headlined with The Faceless, Oblige and Light This City.
In February 2008, they toured Europe with Behemoth and Devilish Impressions.
In March/April 2008, they will embark on a North American tour with Nile, The Faceless, Unexpect, and Warbringer.
In April/May 2008, they will tour Europe with Parkway Drive and Bury Your Dead.
In July/August, they will join SlipKnoT and Disturbed on the Rockstar Mayhem Tour.
Suicide Silence has experienced many changes in its lineup over the years.
